All couches and sectional sofas are priced at $13 per foot except during specials. During specials, all upholstery is priced at $10 per foot from arm to arm. All upholstery is measured and assessed on site before cleaning.

Most sectionals are either 12 feet or 14 feet long. If the sectional consists of a couch and loveseat, then it is probably 12 feet ($120). If it is 2 full sized couches together, then it 's probably 14 feet long ($140). Some sectionals consist of a lounge chair and multiple parts making the cleaning price up to $200.
The company has a minimum charge of $69 per service call. An item under $69 may be subject to the minimum charge if not accompanied with another item equalling $69 or more.
SteamKraft was started in Milford, Ohio by Bill and Barbara Havens in 1975. The company grew substantially through the years achieving a household name and reputation. The company in the early years was eventually based out of a large warehouse on Wards Corner Road in Loveland, Ohio for 11 years. SteamKraft eventually moved operations from Loveland/ Milford area to a Christmas tree farm in the Bethel/ New Richmond area for around 25 years.
During the 80's and 90's, SteamKraft was an expansive operation with 10 crews and vans serving the Greater Cincinnati area. SteamKraft was the largest independent carpet and upholstery cleaning company in the Cincinnati area. Also, we were the first to introduce and use the innovative "Butler" system in the Cincinnati region and still use that technology to this day.
Currently, SteamKraft is owned and operated by son, Russell Havens. These days, we are a smaller company focused on quality and not quantity. We have an extensive, loyal customer base including those who have been with us all of those 40 plus years! With our knowledge, experience and advanced equipment we are able to keep a quality service. We do not have the worries and riff-raff of a larger company with a high turn-over rate and inexperienced employees. Do you move furniture?
Yes, we move any requested furniture within reason. We move sofas, end tables, most dining room sets and chairs. We use common sense when moving some articles of furniture and we may avoid moving particular articles upon circumstance. For example, some beds (especially antique) upon assessment may not be moved. Large or heavy fragile items are usually left to clean around. Hutches, shelving cabinets and dressers are all prone to consideration before moving. Larger items (such as beds and dressers) are moved only upon request and "OK'ed" by the crew. We will need the customer's permission to move these type of items. If there is glass or breakable content, we ask that these items be removed upon our arrival. We want to eliminate the possibility of any property damage during the time of our service.
Does it hurt to walk on the freshly clean carpet?
No, it does not hurt to walk on the drying carpet with clean shoes. We recommend wearing clean shoes, house slippers or bare feet while walking on the freshly cleaned, damp carpet. Your carpet or upholstery will be "bath towel damp" and will take 4 to 8 hours to dry in most conditions. During that time, dirty shoes and objects such as furniture or wheelchairs transfer or streak the carpet more easily. That is why we recommend wearing shoes or house slippers that are already clean. Socks will accumulate and retain moisture from the freshly cleaned carpet and will eventually become soaked, so we recommend clean shoes, house slippers or bare feet during the drying process.
Are there any harsh chemicals prone to harm people or pets?
No, we use completely non-toxic agents which have been proven to have no harmful effects on you or your pets. Our cleaning process flushes out old residue from spot cleaning that may already be in your carpet or upholstery and it rinses our cleaning agents out as well! Your carpet and upholstery will be residue free because we leave nothing behind! The pressurized steam and vacuum draws everything back out of your carpet and upholstery leaving it chemical and residue free. You can be assured that there will be nothing toxic left in your carpet or upholstery after we are finished!
Should I vacuum first?
Yes, if there is large debris and/or excess pet hair. In most cases there is no need to pre-vacuum unless there is large, post construction debris or clumps larger than "bee-bee size". Our cleaning process involves an industrial powered vacuum which removes all dust and sediment particles in your carpet or upholstery. However, the capability of our equipment is limited to particles "bee-bee" sized or larger. We recommend a pre-vacuum for large particles of debris so that we can concentrate on treating your carpet for deep down dirt and grime. For a situation not prepared for our usual intended service, we do offer a pre-vacuum service for minimal additional charge.
How long does it take to dry?
In most conditions, your carpet or upholstery will be dry in 4 to 8 hours. If there are some unusual or underlying conditions, the drying time can take longer than the general time. Humidity levels, low air flow and heavy residue from previous treatments or cleanings can lead to an extra long drying time.
Do you use dirty water?
No. It is actually impossible for us to recycle dirty water with our equipment. All recovered water goes to a separate tank to be dumped to a sewage facility at the end of the day. We only use fresh water from the start of the day to the end of the day. The last job of the day is just as effective as our first.
In preparation for our service, all that we ask is to remove small objects such as laundry baskets, toys and "knick-knacks" (for example) so that we can concentrate on moving the larger items such as sofas and end tables. If there is debris or excess pet droppings, we ask that this be vacuumed or removed prior to our arrival. We also ask to have any glass or breakable items removed from from items that we are moving. Any large hutches or cabinets (especially with with glass or containing glass) should be left "as is" for us to work around or "emptied out" if move is requested. Anything of considerable weight must be emptied or disassembled upon our arrival in order to service those areas of concern.
